It’s Time To Take A Vote

It’s time to choose what data we will focus on and collect for the Battling Birds: Panama Edition. In the past couple weeks, cam viewers have teamed up with Dr. Eliot Miller to determine how to understand how birds battle it out on the Panama Fruit Feeder cam. We’re already planning to record displacements (i.e. when one bird tries to take the perch or food of another bird), but we haven’t decided yet what other data we’ll collect.

Should we record when food is present? What about weather, like rain and wind? Perhaps we should take into account the number of birds present on the feeder? Regardless of how involved you’ve been so far, we now invite everyone to participate and let us know what data you think is the most important to collect. The last day to vote is Friday, January 8, so be sure to get your vote in by then!
