A bar chart in which the height of each bar is the percentage chance that there was a mantling event in each hour of the day, from the 5:00 hour interval to 20:00 hour interval. The percentage chance of mantling has two peaks during the day, with the highest at 40-50% during the 8 and 15 hour interval.

Reading the Graph: When are the nestlings mantling their prey in the nest? Is it in the morning? As the sun sets? Find out and see if you notice any other patterns. How does this visualization compare to the other visualizations about mantling?

Notes: Each day is split into hour intervals from 5:00 through 20:00 (8:00 P.M.), and the height of each bar is the percentage chance that a nestling will be mantling their prey during each of those time intervals. For example, out of the total number of times that at least one person watched the 5:00-6:00 interval, there was zero percentage chance that a nestling will be mantling during that hour. Also, keep in mind that some hours of the day were better covered by participants than others. See what the time watched data look like here and consider how it might affect the chance that a nestling will be mantling each hour.
