Reading the Graph: How much of each day did people watch and collect data? How does this change each day? See what the sampling effort (i.e. the amount of time in which at least one person was watching and collecting data), looked like across the entire data collection period. This information is important to consider when looking at the other visualizations and before conducting statistical analyses. Understanding when there was a lot or a little sampling effort can inform how we interpret the biological data and the patterns within.

Notes: The maximum number of hours that could be watched each day is 16 hours, from 5:00 A.M to 9:00 P.M, which includes hours before sunrise and after sunset.
