How does feeding change by day?
Reading the Graph: When are there the most feedings? Is there variation day to day? How does the number of feedings change as the days advance and the nestlings get older? Find out and see if you notice any other patterns by simplifying the graph with the interactive feature. Look for the checked boxes under “Choose What to Display,” to toggle on and off the different choices.
Notes: For each day, the height of the bars refers to the total number of feedings for that day during daylight hours (5:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.). The different colors refer to time periods during the day (morning = 5:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M., midday = 10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M., evening = 4:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.). Also, keep in mind that some days and periods of the day were better covered by participants than others.
